Dallas Fort Worth International Airport will spend as much as $3.5 billion for an expansion plan that includes a sixth terminal, as American Airlines Group Inc. prepares for additional growth at its largest hub.
Terminal F will have as many as 24 gates and is scheduled to open in 2025, Sean Donohue, the airport’s chief executive officer, said May 20. As much as $1 billion of the project is earmarked for renovations at Terminal C, which dates to 1974 and hasn’t had the same modernization work as other terminals.
