Zoll Medical Corp. is facing a class action alleging it negligently failed to protect the personal health information of more than 1 million people from exposure in a February data breach.
Robert Smith alleged that Zoll failed to encrypt class members’ information or take adequate measures to train employees, detect breaches or protect sensitive data. The company also failed to provide timely or adequate notice of the breach, he said.
