Wells Fargo, Class Get $17.85 Million Robocall Deal OK’d (1)

Wells Fargo Bank NA will pay $17.85 million to resolve consumer allegations it made robocalls and texts to numbers no longer associated with someone who gave consent, under a class settlement that won final approval from the Northern District of Illinois Dec. 10.

The class includes 440,000 wrong-number call recipients, who would receive $40 each if they all made claims.

So far, more than 22,000 class members have made claims, 45 have opted out, and one objected, class counsel said in its brief supporting final approval.
