Waffle Manufacturer Faces Suit After Widespread Listeria Recall

Treehouse Foods Inc., the maker of frozen waffle and pancake products for large retailers like Target and Walmart, was hit Friday with a proposed class action following the company’s voluntary recall of hundreds of products due to potential listeria contamination.

Plaintiff Amanda Rugg-Harrell alleged she became ill after consuming contaminated products she bought from her local Walmart. She filed her complaint in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
