VW Wins Dismissal of Suit Alleging Audi Start-Stop System Flawed

Audi drivers failed to state viable claims against Volkswagen Group of America Inc. concerning a dozen vehicle models with a start-stop feature that allegedly causes loss of control of the vehicle, a Virginia federal court said.

The contract-based claims failed because the car owners didn’t allege that any breach of contract occurred, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia said Wednesday. Their fraud claims failed because they didn’t identify any fraud.
