Vexus Fiber Hit With Class Suit Over ‘Junk’ Network Access Fees

Vexus Fiber LLC engages in a bait-and-switch scheme by advertising low prices for its internet service but then charging customers a “junk” mandatory “Network Access Fee” that significantly increases the true cost, a new class action filed in federal court claims.

Colin LaCrue claims Vexus misrepresents the true cost of its service by not adequately disclosing the Network Access Fee in its advertisements.

Vexus’ conduct willfully violates the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act because it was intended to defraud or mislead, and is unconscionable, LaCrue says. He also makes a claim of unjust enrichment under state law.
