US Fertility LLC, the largest network for fertility centers in the country, is fighting a proposed class action alleging that it failed to take reasonable steps to protect patient’s personal information after a 2020 data breach.
Plaintiff Donald Browne Jr. “failed to allege any harm whatsoever” from the breach, US Fertility and Shady Grove Reproductive Science Center PC argue in their motion to dismiss the lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
The only injury Browne alleges with any specificity was “his decision to purchase LifeLock credit monitoring services” for $181.27, US Fertility says. ...
