U.S. Bank Settles Robocall Class Action for $2.7M

U.S. Bank N.A. will pay $2.67 million to settle a consumer class action over robocalls under a deal that won preliminary approval Feb. 13.

The settlement is within the range of possible approval, Judge Timothy S. Black wrote for the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

The owners of 668,000 unique telephone numbers called by U.S. Bank will get $4 each under the deal.

Virginia Guiette sued the bank for allegedly making robocalls to collect debts or advertise its products without consent in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
