Ticketmaster LLC and parent company Live Nation Entertainment Inc. won dismissal of a proposed class action alleging they failed to issue refunds for shows canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic, after the Northern District of Illinois ruled that the claims must go to arbitration.
John Tezak agreed to terms of use requiring disputes be resolved in arbitration when he created an account on Ticketmaster’s mobile website, the court said.
