Land O’Lakes, Inc., Moark, LLC, and Norco Ranch, Inc. won final approval July 16 of their settlement agreements with direct purchasers of shell eggs and/or egg products in ongoing price fixing litigation before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania (In Re Processed Egg Products Antitrust Litigation, E.D. Pa., 2:08-md-02002-GP, 7/16/12).
Judge Gene E.K. Pratter also certified the direct purchaser class and two subclasses for settlement purposes. The court determined that the proposed $25 million settlement, combined with litigation help, is fair.
