Tesla Faces Class Privacy Suit Over Use of Twitter, Other Pixels

Tesla Inc. violated Californa’s privacy laws by secretly installing tracking software on its website to collect users’ personal data without consent, according to new class suit filed in federal court.

Peter Dawidzik claims that Tesla deployed various third-party tracking technologies operated by Twitter, Google, and Optimizely on its website. These trackers allegedly capture and transmit users’ IP addresses, device information, mouse movements, IP-based geolocation, and other personal data to the third-party servers without authorization.
