Supplement Maker Hit With Class Action Over Stimulant Ingredient

Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals Inc. deceives customers by making and selling dietary supplements containing the stimulant DMHA, a consumer class action filed Nov. 4 in the Northern District of California alleges.

“DMHA is illegal and is not generally recognized among experts to be safe under the conditions of its intended use,” the consumers say.

Hi-Tech doesn’t disclose to consumers that DMHA is an ingredient in its supplements or that is potentially dangerous, they say.

The suit covers consumers in California and New York who bought 13 Hi-Tech supplements that allegedly contain DMHA.
