Kansas-based Sunflower Medical Group PA has reached a deal to resolve two proposed class actions alleging it failed to protect the personal information of nearly 221,000 people that was exposed in a 2024 data breach.
The multi-specialty medical practice and plaintiffs in the two cases arrived at a settlement during a mediation session June 24, according to a report filed by the parties Tuesday in the US District Court for the District of Kansas. Judge Eric F. Melgren, who presides over both cases, ordered the parties Wednesday to file stipulations of dismissal by Aug. 11.
