StubHub Gets Most Covid Ticket Refund Claims Sent to Arbitration

StubHub Inc. convinced a federal judge in California on Monday to order arbitration of most of the claims brought by ticket purchasers who say the company refused to provide refunds for events that were canceled due to the spread of Covid-19.

People who purchased the tickets using the StubHub website had sufficient notice that the user agreement requires disputes to be decided through arbitration, Judge Haywood S. Gilliam Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California ruled. He granted a defense motion to move the case to arbitration as to 48 of the plaintiffs.
