FloSports Inc. is facing a proposed class action alleging the subscription sports broadcaster and streaming service fails to provide effective notice to its customers before automatically renewing their subscriptions, according to a complaint filed in the Northern District of California.
The company obtains customers’ billing information when they sign up for subscriptions through the FloSports Website, and then charges its customers’ renewal fees without their consent, in violation of California’s Automatic Renewal Law, lead plaintiff Lucas Young alleges in the complaint filed Monday in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
