Spirit’s $6 Security Shortcut a ‘Complete Sham,’ Suit Alleges

Spirit Airlines Inc. deceives passengers into buying a $6 pass to shortcut airport security lines even though some airports don’t allow it, a class action filed June 12 alleges.

Spirit’s Shortcut Security option promises passengers the chance to skip the security line at designated U.S. airports.

Spirit lists the Orlando International Airport as a participating location but Transportation Security Administration agents laugh at passengers when they ask where the Shortcut Security line is, the complaint says.
