Shaquille O’Neal Gets Judge’s Sign-Off on Astrals NFT Settlement

Shaquille O’Neal and purchasers of his Astrals and Galaxy nonfungible tokens obtained final federal court approval for their $11 million class settlement Tuesday.

The approval brings an end to a case that helped establish the potential liability of celebrity crypto and token promoters. Judge Federico A. Moreno of the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida ruled on that issue in August 2024, allowing the allegations of unregistered securities sales to proceed and paving the way for settlement talks.
