Public Storage Wins Consumer Insurance Class Trial

Public Storage didn’t have a policy of misleading consumers into believing they were required to buy insurance from the company for their storage units, a state court held Feb. 21.

The judgment in favor of the company came down after a rare class action bench trial. The court certified the case as a class action with an estimated 700,000 members in May 2018.
