Peloton Fails to Move Treadmill Suit to Manhattan From Brooklyn

Peloton Interactive Inc. lost its bid to transfer a securities suit from New York’s Eastern District to its Southern District after a judge for the former ruled no factors weigh in favor of the proposed move.

The exercise equipment and workout streaming company sought to relocate the investor suit from a Brooklyn courthouse to another district with seats in Manhattan, Poughkeepsie, and White Plains. But there’s no reason to delay the case “for the sole purpose of transferring across the East River,” the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York said in an unpublished opinion.
