Procter & Gamble Co. won final approval of a deal to settle class allegations that it deceptively touted its Align probiotic supplement as “clinically proven” to aid digestion.
The settlement came after seven years of litigation and a trip to the U.S. Supreme Court, and shortly before trial was to start. P&G sought Supreme Court review of the class certification order over its method of determining class membership, but the court denied the petition in 2016.
