Current and former students whose faces were scanned before taking online exams may proceed with some Illinois privacy claims against Lewis University and software maker Respondus Inc., a federal court in the state ruled.
The students, from various colleges, survived some standing challenges and made sufficient allegations to continue in the three proposed class actions.
