New York University was hit with a class suit alleging it failed to properly secure and safeguard sensitive personal information of its students and student-applicants, which was accessed and acquired by an unauthorized third party in a March data breach.
More than three million individuals’ personally identifiable information was accessed in the breach, and the size of the class is estimated to be in the millions, the complaint said.
