NFL’s 49ers Hit With Proposed Class Action Over Data Breach

The NFL’s San Francisco 49ers are facing a proposed class action on behalf of employees, vendors, and other business partners of the organization over a data breach that allegedly exposed personal identifiable information of 20,000 people, in a complaint filed Friday in the Northern District of California.

Named plaintiff Samantha Donelson is an employee of the Atlanta Falcons organization, who provided her PII to the 49ers as part of work, according to the complaint filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
