NFL Sunday Ticket Case, Untouched by SCOTUS, Goes to Arbitration

The sports bars leading litigation to dismantle the licensing deals behind the NFL Sunday Ticket broadcast package must arbitrate their antitrust claims against DirecTV, a federal judge in Los Angeles ruled, six months after the U.S. Supreme Court declined to shut down the case.

Judge Philip S. Gutierrez paused proceedings against the AT&T Inc. subsidiary in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, where the proposed class action also targets the National Football League and its teams. The decision doesn’t directly affect allegations against the league or teams.
