Paving workers can end their wage-and-hour suit against a construction company for $19.25 million after a federal judge in New York granted the settlement final approval.
The deal follows nearly a decade of litigation and provides an average of $18,000 to each of the more than 700 people in the class action against New York Paving Inc., according to settlement documents filed in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York. Magistrate Judge Gabriel W. Gorenstein signed off on the agreement Wednesday.
