Nevada Casino Targeted in Class Lawsuit Over July Data Breach

Riverside Resort & Casino is facing a new class suit alleging that it failed to adequately protect the personal information, including names and Social Security numbers, of 55,155 individuals from a data breach discovered around July 25.

Jeremiah Archambault filed the lawsuit Sept. 11 in the US District Court for the District of Nevada. He alleges that Riverside Resort & Casino Inc. and Riverside Resort & Casino LLC owed a duty to use reasonable care to safeguard personal information and breached that duty by failing to implement adequate data security measures.
