The Alcohol and Drug Testing Service Inc. is facing a new class action alleging it failed to protect test subjects’ private information in a data breach that occurred in July 2024.
Meranda Nelson alleges that TADTS—formerly Texas Alcohol and Drug Testing Service Inc.—collected and stored customers’ sensitive personal data but failed to implement reasonable security measures to safeguard it as required by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountabilty Act, the Federal Trade Commission Act, and the Health Information Technology Act.
