NASCAR Hit With Class Suit Alleging Data Theft in April Breach

NASCAR Enterprises LLC, the sanctioning body for several stock car racing series, is facing a class action suit filed in federal court alleging it failed to protect customers’ personal information in an April data breach.

Carl Warren alleges that unauthorized access to NASCAR’s network resulted in the theft of individuals’ names and Social Security numbers. NASCAR waited until July 24 to notify affected individuals.
