Misleading Blender Horsepower Class Suit Cut

Blendtec Inc. convinced a federal court Nov. 6 to dismiss class claims that it misleads consumers about the power of its blenders.

The plaintiff failed to allege specific misrepresentations the company made that would support his claim, Judge Dee Benson wrote for the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah.

The case would have covered tens of thousands of blender owners if it had been certified as a class action.
