Microsoft Women Fail to Revive Gender Pay Case as Class Action

Women engineers who claim Microsoft Corp. discriminates against them for pay and promotions failed to convince a federal appeals court that their ground-breaking lawsuit should become a class action.

  • A three-judge panel of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals on Tuesday upheld a ruling by a Seattle federal judge who concluded in 2018 that the three lead plaintiffs didn’t prove that a uniform Microsoft corporate policy or action adversely affected women, a requirement for class actions
