A new wave of lawsuits is hitting the Las Vegas Strip that argues hotels are illegally taxing the internet service included in resort fees they charge guests.
MGM Resorts International and Caesars Entertainment Corp. are among the targets of at least eight cases filed by Nevada lawyers during the past few weeks in the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada. The most recent, a class action complaint against the owner of SLS Las Vegas Hotel and Casino, echoes the same argument alleging violations of the Internet Tax Freedom Act (Inman v. Las Vegas Resort Holdings, LLC, D. Nev., No. 2:17-cv-02950, complaint filed 11/28/17
