Medical stop loss software company Young Consulting LLC failed to safeguard personally identifiable information, allowing an unauthorized third party to access its network and steal the data of approximately 954,177 individuals, according to a class action complaint filed in federal court.
Plaintiff Mark Sweitzer alleges that Young Consulting failed to use reasonable security measures to protect the plaintiffs’ sensitive personal information, including names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, insurance information, and medical data.
