Life Time Fitness, Instructors Win Approval of Class Wage Deal

Life Time Fitness Inc. and fitness instructors won final approval of a $750,000 class settlement resolving wage allegations.

Notice of the settlement reached 283 class members and 100 submitted claims. Total claims amounted to $115,700.

Class counsel was awarded $428,000 in attorneys’ fees and $20,000 in expenses. Lead plaintiff Jennifer Roth will get a $7,500 incentive award.

Roth sued Life Time for violating the Ohio Prompt Pay Act by failing to compensate group fitness instructors for work done before and after they taught class.
