LG Dishwashers Fail Due to Moisture in Control Panel, Suit Says

A defect in certain LG Electronics USA Inc. dishwashers allows moisture to enter the LED control panel and damage the sensitive components, a consumer says in a new lawsuit on behalf of a proposed nationwide class.

LG has known about the problem in dishwashers with its “QuadWash” spraying-arm design since 2015, Mark Wheeler says in his complaint, filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California. It has “failed to disclose and actively concealed” the control panels’ performance problems, he says.
