The viral Lensa app illegally collects the facial geometry of users who uploaded their photos in exchange for artistic portraits, according to a proposed biometric privacy class action in a California federal court.
Lensa parent company Prisma Labs Inc. violated the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act by not properly disclosing its collection of biometric identifiers and including no data deletion plan in its privacy policy, the lawsuit filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of California said.
