Land O’Lakes, Workers to Mediate 401(k) Case After Early Ruling

Land O’Lakes Inc. and a proposed class of employees will take their dispute over the company’s $1.4 billion retirement plan to private mediation after a federal judge in Minnesota allowed key claims to move forward, a court filing shows.

The parties asked Senior Judge David S. Doty of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota to pause the Employee Retirement Income Security Act lawsuit so they can attempt to resolve the dispute through a private mediation session scheduled for October.
