Payroll services provider Ultimate Kronos Group failed to stop a federal lawsuit arising from a ransomware attack and data breach that interfered with payroll processes at employers across the country and allegedly caused workers to be underpaid.
Larry Kroeck claimed in a lawsuit filed in the US District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania that he was paid for just 80 out of the 134 hours he worked during a two-week period soon after the attack as a result of the disruption it caused.
