Kroger Co. is facing a proposed antitrust class action from commercial truck drivers alleging the grocer directed logistics contractors not to hire drivers from a shuttered trucking company.
Trucking contractors for Kroger acknowledged they had been told not to hire former employees of now-bankrupt Quickway Transportation Inc. when they rejected their applications, several former Quickway drivers said in a Thursday complaint in the US District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
