‘Joint Juice’ Class Status Upheld in Consumer Deception Suit

New York consumers alleging Premier Nutrition Corp. deceptively touts its “Joint Juice” supplement have shown that common issues dominate their suit, a federal court in California said, denying the Post Holdings Inc. unit’s motion to decertify the class.

Mary Beth Montera and others allege they bought the glucosamine product for joint health benefits that Premier advertised, but the product didn’t relieve stiff joints.

The suit is one of eight certified single-state class actions alleging false advertising and other claims related to Premier Nutrition’s promotion of Joint Juice.
