Alabama-based third party health care administrator 90 Degree Benefits was sued in a class action alleging it failed to protect customers’ personal information from an Oct. 18, 2024, data breach.
Rodney Johnson alleged 90 Degree violated its duties by failing to implement reasonable security measures to safeguard customers’ personal data such as names, driver’s license numbers, Social Security numbers, and medical information.
The company also allegedly failed to promptly notify customers after discovering the breach, waiting nearly five months before disclosing it on March 10, 2025. The complaint says customers now face an imminent and ongoing risk of identity theft ...
