Halo Top Isn’t Ice Cream, It’s Light!, Class Suit Says (1)

A man who wanted the indulgence of ice cream but got “just another light ice cream made with artificial ingredients” is suing Halo Top for false advertising.

Eden Creamery LLC, which sells the popular lower-calorie dessert, misrepresents the composition of its products by identifying them as “ice cream,” Josh Berger alleges in a class action complaint filed May 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

Halo Top’s label includes the term “light ice cream,” but Berger says it’s in a minuscule font where customers don’t see it.
