Hair-restoration clinic Bosley Inc. will pay $500,000 to settle a proposed class action arising from an August 2020 ransomware attack and data breach that exposed the personal information of more than 100,000 people.
Class members will receive reimbursement for ordinary expenses and lost time up to $300 per member, reimbursement for extraordinary expenses up to $5000 per member, California statutory claim benefits of $50 per member of the California subclass, and two years of fraud-monitoring services.
Judge Philip S. Gutierrez of the US District Court for the Central District of California gave final approval to the settlement Monday.
