GSK Gets ChapStick ‘Eight-Hour Moisture’ Label Challenge Tossed

A ChapStick buyer’s claim that a lip balm’s “8 HOUR MOISTURE” label statement deceptively exaggerated its sun protection is “inconsistent with the package and with common sense,” a federal court in New York said in a win for GSK Consumer Healthcare Holdings Inc.

At issue is a ChapStick product called “2 in 1 Lipcare.”
