GoDaddy.com Faces Certified Telemarketing Class Action

Website hosting company GoDaddy.com must face a certified class of consumers alleging it made unsolicited calls to their cell phones, a federal court held.

Whether the calls were made with a prohibited autodialing system and for telemarketing purposes are questions common to all class members, Judge Roslyn O. Silver wrote for the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona in an opinion unsealed April 8.

The court issued the certification opinion March 15 but under seal. It asked the parties to propose redactions.
