Ford Urges Court to Break Up Four Mustang Classes After Trial

Ford Motor Co. says a federal court should decertify four statewide classes of Mustang GT350 consumers who said the company misleadingly advertised the track readiness of the 2016 models because trial evidence shows whether Ford committed a deceptive act isn’t a common question.

Ford says that testimony from multiple class representatives shows that many class members had relevant information they’d said Ford failed to provide and there is no evidence to show the class members all understood “track ready” and “track capable” to have a specific meaning.
