Ford Settles Class Action Over ‘Adventure-Ready’ Transit Vans

Ford Motor Co. settled a class action alleging that “Adventure-Ready” 2023 and 2024 Ford Transit Trail vehicles contained a design defect that could force tires against the front of the vehicle, causing tire damage and increasing crash risk.

The parties received preliminary approval Wednesday for their agreement, under which Ford will pay $6,000 to each valid claimant with no total cap, according to an order in the US District Court for the District of Delaware. Approximately 1,900 vehicles are included.
