Ford Accused of Selling Defective ‘Adventure-Ready’ Vehicles

Ford Motor Co. was hit with a proposed class action alleging that its 2023 and 2024 Ford Transit Trail vehicles are defective and unsuitable for their advertised off-road capabilities.

The complaint, filed Thursday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware, alleges that the vehicles suffer from a defect that causes the tires needed for off-roading to rub against the wheel arch liners, potentially damaging the wheel well and leading to tire blowouts, tread separation, and loss of vehicle control.
