Foam Makers Will Pay $275.5 Million To Settle Purchasers’ Price-Fixing Claims

Direct purchasers of polyurethane foam reached a series of six settlements totaling $275.5 million with manufacturers accused of engaging in a cartel, according to a motion for preliminary approval of the settlement filed on May 19 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio (In re Polyurethane Foam Antitrust Litigation, N.D. Oh., 10-md-02196, 5/19/15).

Counsel for the direct purchasers informed the court that they have reached a settlement with FFP Holdings, LLC, Foamex Innovations, Inc., Future Foam, Inc., Hickory Springs Manufacturing Company, Mohawk Industries, Inc., and Woodbridge Foam Corporation, Woodbridge Sales & Engineering, Inc., ...
