A $2 million class action settlement resolving allegations that Flagship Facility Services underpaid its janitorial employees in California has received preliminary approval, according to a federal court ruling.
Plaintiffs Marta L. Cerson De Orozco and Emma Barcenas estimated exposure of $147 million, but the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California found the proposal fair in light of what it said was a strong likelihood of protracted and contentious litigation.
