Ex-NFL Player’s Lawyers to Share 22% of Concussion Award

Law firms representing former NFL running back Errict Rhett will divide 22% of his NFL concussion settlement according to their respective efforts in securing his award, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania said.

Magistrate Judge David R. Strawbridge’s Thursday decision partially approved separate fee requests submitted by three law firms retained by Rhett over the course of the litigation, allocating 2% to McCorvey Law LLC, 11% to Locks Law Firm, and 9% to Langfitt Garner PLLC.

McCorvey’s contingency agreement provided for fees up to 23%, but it was seeking only 8.25% of the monetary award. Locks ...
